Joint Session

Chasing Corruption Around the World – A guide to planning and implementing cross-border investigations

Joint Committee Session by:

  • Employment and Immigration Law Committee
  • Anti-Corruption and Rule of Law Committee

Session Synopsis:

Planning and implementing investigations of corruption across borders, legal standards and evidence gathering challenges requires careful consideration. This panel will look at the key anti-corruption statutes, how investigations might be structured and how to deal with the trickiest aspect of any investigation – the employees with knowledge of the facts. We would cover the employee interview piece ourselves and work with the anti-corruption committee on the other 2 pieces. It could be a “part deux” to a panel organized by Shin Jae Kim in Auckland.
